Open Committees (Anyone is welcome to Join)

Newcomer Committees
Newcomer Welcoming Team: This group looks at ways to create a warm, welcoming environment at Walnut Hills.  Team members serve as connecting links to visitors approximately once every 6 weeks on a Sunday morning prior to and immediately following one of the Sunday morning services.  They mingle with those attending and provide information and assistance to visitors.  The team as a whole meets twice a year to touch base and brainstorm methods to create a warm welcome.  New team members always welcomed.

Newcomer Assimilation Team:  This group is responsible for new member orientation and connecting/assimilating new members in ways the new member would like to be connected.  The team meets no more than once a month, no more than 90 minutes each meeting.  New team members always welcomed.

Newcomer Communication Team:  This team determines ways to create awareness of the ministries of Walnut Hills.  They design direct mail pieces and door hangers for example, connect with the media and much more.  Meetings occur no more than once a month for no more than 90 minutes per meeting.  New team members always welcomed.

To get involved in one of the newcomer teams, contact Connie McKeen, 270-9226 or email.
