Confirmation Program
The Walnut Hills Confirmation program is a one year program for youth in 8th grade and up. It combines a weekly Bible study during the Sunday School hour with a Confirmation Class one Sunday per month (typically the 3rd Sunday of the month). Six to seven inter-faith visits are included in the program, encouraging all members of the family to join their student at various places of worship. These may include the Hindu Temple, the Muslim Community Center, a Jewish synagogue, Las Americas Hispanic Ministry, the Greek Orthodox Church and others. Service is an important part of their experience, so students are required to volunteer at least 3 times on Sunday mornings to greet, usher, light candles, assist in children's church, etc. Adult mentors commit to journey alongside a small group of students and participate in all classes and activities.
